StorSys Licensing

StorSys is an addon feature to the SysInfo^TM product. It comes in Base and Professional editions. Both the Base and Professional editions require you have a valid permanent or demo SysInfo product license.

A license for the Base edition is built into the SysInfo product. This license allows for reporting Base information for an unlimited number of storage systems. This license will be used if no other StorSys feature license is found.

A seperate license for StorSys Professional must be obtained to utilize the Professional edition feature. You can purchase a StorSys Professional license when you purchase SysInfo product licenses or you can buy StorSys Professional licenses seperately at a later date.

Each StorSys Professional license provides one (1) Right-To-Use (RTU) to access one (1) storage system from any host computer with a valid SysInfo product license. For example, if you have 5 storage systems, you need 5 StorSys Professional licenses.

The StorSys Professional licenses can be used on all your host computers with valid SysInfo product licenses. For example, if you have 5 storage systems and 25 host computers (any supported type including Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP HP-UX, etc) you need 5 StorSys Professional licenses and 25 SysInfo product licenses. This configuration would allow you to access StorSys Professional data from any/all of your 25 host computers.
