The Storage System data class provides information on Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) storage systems. Typically SysInfo™ reports the Storage Systems which are in use or known to the local host.

Since Storage System vendors provide their own unique, usually proprietery interfaces, SysInfo™ utilizes its own drivers to interface with each vendor's Storage System. Due to the lack of adoption of industry standards for Storage System interfaces, it's not possible for SysInfo™ to provide generic Storage System support.
